THE BIRD INCIDENT

The night my dad died, I said a prayer asking for a sign if there was something more beyond death. The next morning, this bird showed up. It tried for several spooky hours, to get into the house -- through just about every window and door on the house ,even the low basement window. It tried at the glass sliding door of our living room alone for a couple of hours, so insistently that it was leaving blood and mucous from its feathers all over the glass. It was so strange and such odd behaviour that my family and I were convinced beyond doubt we had been given a sign. After doing some homework on the subject, I came to learn that this was a frequently-reported event ... strange bird sightings often manifest when someone close dies. This apparently ties in with the concept of angels being messengers "with wings." The next day, the bird at my house came back for an encore. Here are a few pictures I managed to take:
